Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a manufacturing organization in Louisville, Ohio. This contract opportunity offers strong potential for permanent placement and is well suited for a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in invoice processing, payment execution, and maintaining financial accuracy. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely vendor payments, accurate account coding, and an efficient accounts payable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Review incoming invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare items for accurate entry into the accounts payable system.

Assign appropriate general ledger codes and ensure expenses are recorded to the correct accounts and cost centers.

Process vendor payments through ACH transactions and scheduled check runs in accordance with established approval procedures.

Reconcile invoice and payment records, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues to maintain accurate financial documentation.

Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address payment inquiries and follow up on outstanding items.

Maintain organized accounts payable records and assist with reporting related to payment activity and invoice status.

Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.

Hands-on experience with invoice coding, account classification, and day-to-day AP processing.

Working knowledge of ACH payments, check disbursements, and standard vendor payment practices.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle financial data accurately and consistently.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal departments.
