The Administrative Assistant - COO position exists to provide administrative assistance for the COO office. Works directly with the Executive Assistant -COO to support work using a wide range of processes and organizational skills; as well as provides back-up for the Chief Operating Officer and Office of the President administrative assistants.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Assists in of a variety of administrative duties

Is able to back-up the Executive Assistant for the Chief Operating Officer as well as stand in when needed in the Office of the President

Serves as a contributing member of the COO's direct report team

May respond to highly diversified inquiries from management, employees, constituents, and the public

May schedule meetings on behalf of the COO

Personal Characteristics:

Highly developed emotional intelligence (EQ) and mature judgment

Self-starter with resilience and mature judgment

Able to handle changing and challenging priorities with calmness and can-do attitude.

Knowledge/Experience:

Specialized training/education equivalent to two years of college

4-6 years of related experience

Type 60-75 wpm with 98% accuracy

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred

Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Exhibits discernment, discretion, courtesy, and tact with individuals in telephone and personal dealings

Ability to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of staff across the ministry

Ability to create goodwill across the ministry on behalf of the office of the COO

Displays discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information; exhibits the utmost integrity to safeguard the ministry's integrity

Pay Range: $18.65 to $21.99
