Job Description
The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the development of Manufacturing Processes, Continuous Improvement and Troubleshooting in the assigned work area. The work is of a technical nature where a high level of independent judgment is used and a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised in order to make decisions. You will lead and direct a small size group of employees engaged in specialized and/or varied engineering tasks.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities) :
Responsible for managing a team of engineers, supporting them across all three shifts in the department.
Lead Engineering Team daily activity
Process planning / implementing process changes
Lead Automation Projects in assigned area
Continuous improvement - Improve SPQRCE
Responsible for layout planning and organization
Specify equipment, gauging and tooling and co-ordinate procurement
Production support - Interact with manufacturing group and provide technical support where needed
New product / product change implementation - coordinate with Product Engineering and Launch Team
Perform other ad hoc duties & responsibilities as necessary
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science
5+ years of manufacturing engineering execution experience
2+ years of factory focus engineering experience
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers
Ability to work within a team environment and automatously
High level of problem solving and troubleshooting skills
High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
Oral and written communications skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Thorough knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes.
Knowledgeable of high/low voltage equipment/machinery.
Ability to work off-shift or weekends as needed

Masters Degree in Engineering
Previous direct leadership experience in a technical or engineering environment
