Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of our organization in Long Beach, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can oversee accounting processes, ensure compliance with financial standards, and contribute to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing teams and delivering accurate financial insights to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, tax accounting, and cost analysis.

Prepare and review financial reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting systems to provide accurate financial projections.

Coordinate and oversee internal audits to ensure adherence to established procedures.

Lead and mentor the accounting team by recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to secure the organization's financial assets.

Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes and reconciliations.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial reporting and improve operational efficiency.

Stay updated on industry trends and participate in development opportunities. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger management, and financial statement audits.

Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.

Certification, such as CPA, is preferred but not required.
