If you want to work with a dynamic team and gain experience on energy efficiency programs where you are involved in managing contracts from cradle to grave, this is the ideal position for you. SECO has many programs that help public entities in Texas reduce utility costs and maximize energy efficiency. Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsEducation:and#183; Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degreePreferred Education:and#183; Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, energy management, energy resources, sustainable energy, or a related field.Experience:and#183; Three (3) years of program and/or contract management experience.Substitution:and#183; Post graduate degree or relevant senior level education major may substitute for the experience requirement with a maximum of 1 year.Licenses and Certificationso and#8226;Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) or must obtain the Certified Texas Contract Manager certification within 6 months.and#8226;A valid Texas (or state of residency) driverand#8217;s license and a satisfactory driving record are a condition of employment. Applicants offered an interview must present the following documents at or before the interview: A state issued driving record for the last 36 months, A valid Texas driverand#8217;s license (or state of residency driverand#8217;s license), and current proof of automobile insurance.In this role you will:Contract management including preparation of the scope of work and budget for each assigned contract and loans, defining the milestones, deliverables and associated budgets.
Monitor the progress of those activities and provide adjustments as needed to assure each vendorand#8217;s successful project completion.
Review vendor invoices and submitted monthly, quarterly, and final progress reports for accuracy and completeness.
Perform an array of research, planning, program assessment, and administrative activities within SECO programs.
Coordinate and collaborate with staff and vendors to plan and implement projects that fit within SECOand#8217;s goals.
Consult with and maintain networks with public entities, local governments, higher education institutions, and public schools to address energy efficiency and energy conservation issues, help identify needs, discuss existing
Program effectiveness, encourage and/or improve interest in the SECO programs.
May assist with the evaluation of policies, procedures and standards, assuring compliance with SECO program objectives and goals. Consult with and maintain networks with various federal and state agencies, local governments, regional and national groups, stakeholder groups, and associations.
Keep abreast of external trends and events affecting SECO programs and represent the State of Texas in meetings related to the Pantex Plant and the transportation, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
Performs Division Security Coordinator duties including coordinating with Information Technology Division for updates to grant management system.
