Role Summary

T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Baltimore, MD to:

Design, develop, modify, adapt and implement short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems, databases and applications infrastructure.

Review and interpret system requirements and business processes as well as code, test, debug and implement software solutions.

Deliver high quality technical solutions and implementations, design systems and obtain information on technical limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in computer science, information science, or related technical field, PLUS 2+ years' experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Position requires 2 years of experience with AWS infrastructure, Fargate, S3, Lambda, SNS, react UI development and Java/Python backend development;

2+ years' experience with database querying and designing for relational DBs (e.g. Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL), developing data models or schemas from scratch and concepts such as ACID, Normalization, and Transactions, and cloud technologies.

2+ years' AWS experience implementing suitable software using unit, integration, acceptance testing at the time of feature development, as well as developing practical APIs and abstractions.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$122,013.00 - $157,500.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$122,013.00 - $157,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.

$122,013.00 - $157,500.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
