Summary:
BrandSafway is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain, North America to lead the transformation of our procurement function and optimize sourcing across our North American business. Reporting to the SVP Operations, this leader will install procurement best practices, modernize how we source, and build the capability and discipline required to support BrandSafway's continued growth across North America.
This is a build-and-transform role. The VP will own procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and logistics across BrandSafway's North American network of branches and distribution centers - ensuring availability of equipment, parts, and materials that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and best-in-class customer service, while delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality, risk, and supplier performance.
The Mandate
BrandSafway's North American procurement function is positioned for a significant step-change. The opportunity is twofold: install modern procurement best practices - governance, category management, contracting, supplier performance, spend analytics, and procurement technology - and optimize the supplier base for the right balance of cost, quality, service, risk, and innovation across each category. This leader will define and execute that transformation roadmap in close partnership with Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Transformation & Best Practices
Lead the end-to-end transformation of procurement across North America - operating model, processes, policies, governance, and tools.
Install category management, source-to-pay discipline, and contract lifecycle management.
Deploy spend analytics, sourcing platforms, and procurement technology to enable data-driven decision making.
Build the procurement talent model, capability framework, and center-of-excellence to support enterprise-wide standards.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Optimization
Develop category strategies across rental equipment, parts, MRO, and operational supplies - optimizing the supplier base for total value, not just cost.
Lead high-value negotiations and structure strategic agreements that balance cost, service, quality, risk, and innovation.
Implement supplier scorecards, QBRs, and structured performance management.
Manage supplier risk, compliance, business continuity, and ESG/supplier diversity commitments.
Drive total-cost-of-ownership thinking across categories.
Logistics & Distribution
Direct inbound and outbound logistics, transportation, and freight strategy across the North American network.
Optimize distribution center performance, freight efficiency, and landed-cost structures.
Deploy technology and data-driven solutions to improve visibility, on-time delivery, and cost-to-serve.
Performance, Planning & Continuous Improvement
Lead annual procurement and logistics planning aligned with fleet lifecycle, growth, and customer demand patterns.
Establish KPIs and dashboards covering savings, supplier performance, service level, compliance, and risk.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles, process standardization, and analytics Leadership.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain organization across multiple levels and locations in North America.
Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, Safety, and M&A integration teams.
Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
20+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or sourcing leadership experience, including senior leadership at a large, geographically distributed organization in North America.
Demonstrated track record of leading procurement transformation - installing category management, source-to-pay processes, governance, and procurement technology in a complex, multi-site environment.
Proven success leading strategic sourcing programs that optimized the supplier base for total value (cost, quality, service, risk, innovation).
Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries strongly preferred.
Experience managing multimillion-dollar procurement spend and complex strategic supplier relationships.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills; fluency with MSAs, deal structures, and dispute resolution
Track record of building high-performing teams and operating effectively in a matrixed, multi-site environment.
Experience integrating supply chain functions through M&A is a plus.
