At Abacus Automation, we design and build custom machines for a broad range of industries. Each job brings new life and excitement to the floor. The Office Administrator is responsible for maintaining the front office by greeting all visitors, both in person and over the phone, while also handling back-office duties, including but not limited to data entry, accounts payable, and assisting with the payroll process.

Job Description:

Greet customers and vendors in a warm and professional manner

Answer, screen, and forward phone calls using a multiline system

Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and packages

Manage the company calendar as needed

Perform data entry into our Sage accounting program, such as

purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments

Occasionally assist with payroll processing

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates should have two or more years of experience in

data entry, office duties, and reception

Ability to multitask, with a high attention to detail and

proficiency in Sage, MS Word, and Excel

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable

principles

Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor

Ability to work as part of a team, with strong communication skills,

among fellow employees and with visitors
