The Construction Project Manager leads medium to large construction projects from planning through closeout, with a strong focus on electrical and low-voltage systems. This role develops and manages project scope, budget, schedule, and resources while coordinating closely with operations, estimating, engineering, and field teams. The Construction Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards, while maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage medium to large construction projects, coordinating the work of multiple project team members across various disciplines.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation for electrical and low-voltage construction projects.
Collaborate with Operations and Estimating teams to develop design and engineering project budgets, proposals, and cost estimates.
Engage the project team to identify project risks and assumptions, and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Oversee project cost management, including estimating, funding, forecasting, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project-related financial and contractual documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and external vendor or subcontractor resources.
Use construction and engineering software tools such as CAD, Revit, Procore, Bluebeam, ACC, and MS Project to support planning, coordination, and documentation.
Maintain regular, transparent communication with all project stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress, risks, issues, and changes.
Review, process, and manage change orders to ensure accurate scope, pricing, and documentation, and to minimize impact on budget and schedule.
Ensure that projects are delivered within the approved budget, schedule, and contingency while meeting established quality standards and client expectations.
Coordinate with engineering and electrical teams to ensure design intent is met and constructability issues are resolved promptly.
Monitor project performance, track key milestones, and adjust plans and resources as needed to keep the project on track.
Support project site visits, including quarterly week-long trips to project locations, to oversee progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and recommending enhancements to processes, tools, and practices.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical project management, preferably within construction environments.
Proficiency in construction management principles, including scope, schedule, and budget control.
Strong background in electrical and low-voltage systems within construction projects.
Experience with project cost management, including estimating, funding, and forecasting.
Ability to manage and process change orders accurately and efficiently.
Proficiency with construction and engineering software, including CAD software and Revit.
Experience using project management and construction platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, ACC, and MS Project.
Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain transparent, consistent updates to stakeholders.
Ability to manage contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and external resources effectively.
Demonstrated ability to identify project risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; equivalent field experience considered in lieu of a degree.
Understanding of electrical engineering concepts as they relate to construction projects.
Experience collaborating with operations, estimating, and engineering teams on project proposals and budgets.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several projects.
Detail-oriented approach to documentation, reporting, and project controls.
Ability to travel for periodic, week-long site visits on a quarterly basis.
Work Environment
This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes three days on-site and two days remote each week. The position involves regular collaboration with operations, estimating, engineering, and project site teams, using tools such as CAD software, Revit, Procore, Bluebeam, ACC, and MS Project to plan and manage work. The Construction Project Manager will travel for a week-long trip each quarter to project sites to oversee progress and coordinate activities. The work environment is professional, project-focused, and technology-enabled, supporting both in-office collaboration and remote work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
