Job Description
This entry-level Aircraft Mechanic role focuses on performing phase maintenance and upgrades on UH-60 series aircraft in a hangar/MRO environment. You will work as part of a skilled maintenance team to inspect, remove, repair, and replace critical airframe and rotor system components while supporting both line and heavy maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
Perform PMI 1 and PMI 2 phase maintenance on UH-60 aircraft in accordance with maintenance procedures and quality standards.
Remove and replace main rotor components, ensuring proper alignment, installation, and safety compliance.
Remove and replace tail rotor components, including associated hardware and linkages, following technical data and maintenance manuals.
Remove and replace hydraulic system components, including actuators, pumps, and lines, while ensuring system integrity and leak-free operation.
Remove and replace airframe parts, including structural components and panels, to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
Inspect, remove, and install flight controls and related components, ensuring correct rigging, function, and safety.
Support and perform aircraft upgrades and modifications as directed, following engineering instructions and technical publications.
Assist with both line maintenance and heavy maintenance tasks on UH-60 and related H-60 platform aircraft as assigned.
Use appropriate tools, equipment, and technical data to troubleshoot and correct discrepancies on the aircraft.
Document maintenance actions accurately and completely in maintenance records and forms as required.
Follow all safety procedures, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements while working in the hangar/MRO environment.
Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Essential Skills
Entry-level experience or training in aircraft maintenance with a focus on rotary-wing platforms.
Experience or formal training working as an A&P mechanic or as a 15T UH-60 Helicopter Repairer.
Ability to perform or assist with PMI 1 and PMI 2 phase maintenance on UH-60 aircraft or similar H-60 variants.
Hands-on experience or training in removing and replacing main rotor, tail rotor, hydraulics, airframe parts, and flight controls.
Familiarity with line maintenance and heavy maintenance practices on helicopters.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and work cards.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail when working on critical aircraft systems.
Ability to work safely in a hangar/MRO environment and follow all safety and maintenance protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A&P license is highly valued and may be obtained after conversion to direct employment through company-sponsored training.
Experience as a 15T UH-60 Mechanic in the National Guard or similar military experience is strongly considered.
Exposure to UH-60, SH-60, MH-60, HH-60, or other H-60 series aircraft platforms.
Familiarity with PMI, phase maintenance, and MRO operations.
Ability to work effectively on both day and evening shifts as scheduled.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in a maintenance environment.

Work Environment
Work takes place in a hangar/MRO setting focused on UH-60 and related H-60 series aircraft maintenance. The operation runs on four 10-hour shifts, offering a 1st shift from Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and a 2nd shift from Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The environment supports both line and heavy maintenance, with access to standard aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and technical data, and emphasizes safe, organized, and collaborative work practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
