Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst supports the effective planning, sourcing, and availability of materials required for distribution, transmission, and generation operations. This role works closely with internal supply chain, procurement, and expediting teams to ensure materials are delivered on time, inventory levels are optimized, and operational schedules are supported. Operating under general supervision, the position contributes to efficient materials management, process improvement, and reliable support of construction, maintenance, and outage activities.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and process material requests, assisting internal stakeholders in determining the most efficient and cost-effective fulfillment methods using available inventory or external suppliers.
Track open material requests and purchase orders, identifying items that may require expediting or alternative sourcing to avoid project delays.
Review daily inventory and exception reports to resolve discrepancies and sustain appropriate stock levels.
Provide training and guidance to end users on materials management systems and procedures for supported facilities and departments.
Act as a key point of contact between business units and centralized materials or supply chain teams, sharing feedback on inventory strategies and service effectiveness.
Analyze materials management workflows and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
Monitor supply chain performance indicators and collaborate with partners to address gaps and support achievement of operational goals.
Support emergent purchasing needs tied to short-term scheduling cycles (such as T-Week activities) for specialized operations when applicable.
Complete reporting related to receipt inspections and manage material holds in regulated or nuclear environments as required.
Champion safety, health, and accident prevention initiatives in all materials management activities.
Maintain availability outside regular hours, when necessary, to support emergency response, outages, or service restoration efforts.
Ensure timely and accurate entry of data related to material requests, purchase orders, and inventory transactions.
Travel to warehouses, project sites, or operating facilities as needed to support supply chain and materials operations.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field; or
Associate's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of two years of applicable experience; or
High school diploma or GED with at least four years of relevant supply chain or materials experience.
At least two years of experience in supply chain, materials coordination, purchasing, or a related business role.
Practical knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain principles.
Ability to analyze material requirements and inventory data to support sound sourcing decisions.
Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP for materials and purchasing functions.
Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and record management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to interpret supply chain performance metrics and support corrective actions as needed.
Comfort training or supporting others on materials management tools and processes.
Willingness and flexibility to provide off-hour support for emergencies, outages, or critical operational needs.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and health practices.
Ability to perform primarily sedentary work consistent with office-based responsibilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in utility, industrial, generation, transmission, or distribution environments is preferred.
Familiarity with receipt inspection processes, material holds, or highly regulated operations (including nuclear) is a plus.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives or serving as a liaison between business units and centralized supply chain functions.
Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require.
Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite at a distribution or operations facility and works closely with supply chain and operational teams. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime or extended availability required during outages or emergencies. The work is largely desk-based and involves frequent use of ERP systems, inventory tools, and office software. Occasional travel to other locations may be required. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in support of operational performance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.65 - $33.65/hr.
