Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Job Description
The Warehouse Specialist will support both hands-on warehouse operations and computer-based administrative tasks in a contract-to-hire role. Approximately 75% of the time will be spent on the warehouse floor building crates for outgoing products, managing inventory, handling shipping and receiving, and packaging materials. The remaining 25% of the role will focus on working within an ERP system to complete purchase orders and schedule products for shipment. This position requires a strong background in warehouse operations combined with above-average computer skills and experience with ERP systems.
Responsibilities
Build sturdy and accurate shipping crates for outgoing products to ensure safe transport.
Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Manage warehouse inventory by tracking stock levels, organizing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to record inventory movements and maintain data integrity.
Handle material movement within the warehouse to support production and shipping needs.
Package products according to company standards to ensure they are ready for shipment.
Enter and process purchase orders accurately in the ERP system.
Work within the ERP system to schedule products for shipment and coordinate logistics.
Maintain organized warehouse areas, ensuring materials, crates, and packaged goods are stored safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with production and office staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate shipment scheduling.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while using hand tools and performing warehouse tasks.
Essential Skills
Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with hands-on operational responsibilities.
Strong background in inventory control, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and verification of shipments.
Proficiency in crate building and packaging to prepare products for shipment.
Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for crate construction and material handling tasks.
Experience with material handling and warehouse inventory activities.
Above-average computer skills with the ability to work comfortably in software systems.
Previous experience working with an ERP system, with the ability to navigate and enter data accurately.
Ability to create and manage purchase orders within an ERP or similar system.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both physical and computer-based tasks.

Work Environment
This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility located in Southeast Boise, with approximately 35 employees on site and about 18 working on the production floor and in the warehouse. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. The environment is a hands-on production and warehouse setting that requires regular movement, material handling, and collaboration with production staff. Dress code includes safety shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt, reflecting a practical, safety-focused workplace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
