Position Summary
A Construction Management Information Systems (CMIS) Support position is available with Colorado State University's Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) for the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) Installation Division at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. The CMIS Support and Training Specialist provides day-to-day functional support for CMIS users and serves as a key resource for system training, documentation, and user assistance.
This position focuses on user support, system administration tasks, development and maintenance of training materials, and assessment of user satisfaction to ensure the CMIS effectively meets operational needs. The specialist works closely with end users, project managers, and CMIS technical staff to promote consistent, efficient, and effective system use across the enterprise.
Essential Job Duties:
User Support: Serve as the front line for CMIS user support, including onboarding new users, responding to helpdesk requests, and resolving routine system issues. Manage and maintain CMIS document libraries to ensure users have access to current and accurate materials. Track, document, and escalate system issues as appropriate.
Training Program Management: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve comprehensive CMIS training materials. Organize, schedule, and coordinate training sessions to ensure all users are proficient in CMIS functionality and workflows. Support onboarding efforts by providing structured training for new users.
User Satisfaction Assessment: Design, administer, and analyze routine user satisfaction surveys related to CMIS support, training, and overall system performance. Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities and communicate findings to CMIS technical staff and program leadership.
End-Use Training : Provide routine CMIS training and user assistance focused on standard workflows, data entry procedures, and reporting capabilities. Offer follow-up support and refresher training as needed to reinforce best practices and consistent system use.
Supervision:
This position does not supervise.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) and public trust clearance. Furthermore, candidates are required at a minimum to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check to remain eligible for employment by CSU.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, a related field.
Minimum of two years of professional experience in user support, system administration, training, or documentation.
Experience providing end-user support for a web-based enterprise application (e.g., project management, asset management, or information systems).
Experience onboarding users, responding to helpdesk requests, and resolving routine system or workflow issues.
Experience developing and maintaining user documentation, such as user guides, job aids, or standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a Construction Management Information System (CMIS) such as Kahua or similar platforms.
Familiarity with design, construction, or facilities management workflows, particularly in a federal or military @context.
Experience working with Air National Guard, Air Force, DoD, or other federal installation organizations.
Experience administering user satisfaction surveys and analyzing results to identify trends or improvement areas.
Salary Range
$105,000-119,485
