Responsibilities You will monitor and troubleshoot all Marine Corps Electronic Security Systems, Intrusion Detection System, alarm, mass notification and CCTV systems installed and annunciating at the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department. You will receive and process incoming fire alarms, 911 calls, emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire, medical emergencies, airfield emergencies, and environmental and hazardous materials incidents. You will dispatch personnel and apparatus to the scene of emergencies, record pertinent data, events, and logs, and initiate pre-arrival instructions to callers for fire, medical, and police emergencies. You will monitor status and availability of police, fire, and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made. You will monitor and operate the Mass Notification (MNS) as directed to ensure proper dissemination of emergency mass notification messages throughout the installation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Operating communications equipment in support of public service incidents, providing pre-arrival medical instructions to callers requesting medical assistance; dispatching fire responders, interpreting jurisdictional boundaries for law enforcement or firefighting responses or using computer systems to track and record data. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) dispatching appropriate emergency personnel; 2) Utilizes emergency dispatch and radio communications; and 3) Coordinates with local and state public safety agencies. GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinates, monitors, and assists with operations via telephone and radio between a variety of agencies and personnel. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and processing 911 calls of incoming fire alarms, emergency, and non-emergency calls for fire, medical, and police assistance; 2) Dispatching emergency services to the scene of emergencies based on the capacity of the personnel and apparatus being dispatched; and 3) Providing information and initiating directions to incoming callers.
