Our client, a leading organization in the lumber and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join their dynamic team. As a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations team, supporting efficient material handling and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, aligning seamlessly with the company's values and operational goals.

Job Title: 2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM until finish (typically 10-12 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

Operate a forklift to transport lumber and materials throughout the yard and warehouse safely and efficiently

Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols

Stack and organize lumber products in designated areas for easy access and inventory management

Inspect materials for quality and report any damages or discrepancies

Perform basic forklift inspections and adhere to all safety procedures at all times

What's Needed?

Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Strong attention to safety and detail to prevent accidents and ensure quality

Ability to work extended hours and perform physically demanding tasks

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
