Software Engineer III (Full Stack / .NET + React)Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performing solutions as part of a modern engineering team. This role combines strong backend .NET expertise with advanced frontend development in React, and includes mentorship, architectural input, and ownership of key system components.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions and new product features
Build and enhance large-scale React-based applications and strategic platform initiatives
Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): design, development, testing, and deployment
Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to architectural discussions and influence technical direction
Develop high-quality frontend components with a focus on performance and usability
Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability while reducing operational overhead
Own and deliver complete components or features within applications
Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to determine optimal technical solutions
Design solutions in ambiguous/problem spaces and define system interactions
Establish and promote engineering best practices, standards, and technologies
Mentor junior developers and support team growth
Track issues through resolution and provide regular updates to leadership
Perform code reviews and contribute to design reviews across projects
Provide project estimates, task breakdowns, and risk assessments
Identify long-term architectural improvements and technical debt
Occasionally serve in a Team Lead capacity
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned applications
Continuously improve development processes and team effectiveness
Required Technical Skills

Required Qualifications
7+ years of software development experience with a focus on .NET technologies
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core
Experience with ASP.NET and MVC design patterns
Expertise in building single-page applications (SPA)
Experience developing and consuming RESTful and/or RPC APIs
Advanced React experience (components, routing, state management)
Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript)
Experience building microservices-based architectures
Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Experience with NoSQL solutions (MongoDB) and caching tools (Redis)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

This is a Contract position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105.55 - $112.50/hr.
