Employment Terms: This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Public and Professional Services Division that reports to the Program Director of Automotive.

Schedule: 19hr/wk

Salary : $16.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code T9001):

High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent technical skills in Automotive Technology. Demonstrates initiative. Demonstrates professionalism in appearance. Possesses good interpersonal skills: with faculty; colleagues and peers; and students.

In addition to the minimum qualification, the following technical competencies are preferred: Knowledge of automotive shop procedures and tasks; ability to handle multiple tasks ad prioritize workload; ability to communicate, meet deadlines, exhibit proper judgment in selecting which questions to handle or re-direct. Post-Secondary Education a plus.

Job Description Summary:

Under close supervision, assist the Program Director and other instructors in monitoring, supervising, and evaluating students in an on-campus Automotive Technology lab setting.

Duties/Responsibilities

Maintain equipment and supplies, including ordering, stocking and organizing

Ensure that labs and storage areas are neat and orderly

Assist with monitoring student while preforming laboratory exercise

Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work, operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior
