ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a 2nd Shift General Laborer to support operations at the Quarry located in Millville, WV. This position is primarily responsible for performing general labor duties to support quarry operations, including maintaining a safe work environment, assisting with equipment and production processes, and completing tasks as assigned to meet production goals.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Perform general labor tasks to support daily quarry operations
Assist with the operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery
Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies as needed
Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
Support crushing, screening, and conveying processes
Inspect equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
Assist with routine maintenance and repairs under supervision
Direct traffic and assist with site logistics when required
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education : High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience:Prior experience in quarry operations, construction, or general labor preferred
Prior experience in quarry operations, construction, or general labor preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies
Dependable work ethic with consistent attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Willingness to work 2nd shift, including overtime and weekends as needed
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required
Motivation to learn, take initiative, and contribute to overall site productivity
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
