Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

You will performs pre-certifications, insurance verifications and is responsible for the data integrity with regard to referral tracking.

You will develop efficiencies in prioritizing patients for pre-admission screenings, financial status and helps to coordinate with the Clinical Rehab Specialists.

You will coordinate final admission approvals that come through communications with the Medical Director, Clinical Rehab Specialist and Program Director.

You will assure that physician signatures have been obtained on the Pre-Admission Screen prior to patient admission.

You will arrange and/or assists with arranging patient transportation.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

Licensed Clinician preferred (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist) or Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Rehab and/or hospital admissions experience required

Demonstrates working knowledge of acute rehab criteria, level of care requirements and medical necessity

Understands Medical terminology, regulations and parameters of third party reimbursements

Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
