This is a 6-month, temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for a mid-size manufacturing operation in South Seattle. You will manage full-cycle recruiting for a wide range of roles, coordinate onboarding, maintain HR records, and assist with benefits administration and HR compliance. The position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and requires completion of a pre-employment drug and background check.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing and related roles, from job posting through offer stage.
Post job openings on multiple job boards and internal platforms to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
Use online recruiting tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, to proactively source and engage candidates.
Suggest and implement innovative candidate sourcing strategies to meet hiring goals.
Review and screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for specific openings.
Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidate fit, experience, and interest.
Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring timely communication with candidates.
Facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
Order background checks and conduct reference verifications for potential hires.
Prepare new hire paperwork and orientation materials for incoming employees.
Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Collect and verify new hire documentation, including I-9 and tax forms, in compliance with regulations.
Organize and maintain onboarding materials in both hard copy and electronic formats.
Identify, propose, and implement improvements to onboarding processes and procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic employee records and files.
Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, in HR systems.
Ensure HR record-keeping meets compliance standards and protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment questions and routine benefits inquiries.
Update benefits records and support the distribution of benefits-related materials.
Collaborate with HR team members to ensure employees receive accurate and timely benefits information.
Help ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently followed across the organization.
Stay informed about relevant labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements and apply them in daily work.
Accurately enter employee and candidate data into the ATS, including Ultipro/UKG.
Assist in generating HR and recruiting reports and conduct basic data analysis to support decision-making.
Represent the company at job fairs and other recruiting events, as needed.
Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and build strong relationships.
Support high-volume recruiting efforts, including filling 30-40 different skill sets and coordinating repetitive production hiring classes of approximately 10 new hires per week.
Essential Skills
Previous full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Demonstrated talent acquisition experience, including sourcing, screening, and managing candidates through the hiring process.
Experience recruiting in construction or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), including experience with Ultipro/UKG or similar platforms such as Greenhouse.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions and deadlines simultaneously.
Professional, motivated, and energetic demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing hiring needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.
Experience with job boards and online recruiting platforms.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools.
Experience supporting or coordinating job fairs and recruiting events.
Basic data entry and data analysis skills for HR and recruiting reports.
Ability to propose and implement process improvements in recruiting and onboarding.
Comfort working directly with hiring managers and building collaborative relationships.
Experience specifically in construction or manufacturing recruiting is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is 100% onsite in a manufacturing setting in South Seattle, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment can be loud at times and requires someone with a resilient, thick-skinned approach who is comfortable working in a production-focused atmosphere. You will have access to standard office technology, including ATS platforms such as Ultipro/UKG and productivity tools like Microsoft Office. The position offers free parking and the opportunity to work closely with hiring managers, gaining extensive experience recruiting for 30-40 different skill sets and supporting ongoing production hiring classes of approximately 10 new employees per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00/hr.
