Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROL MECHANIC LEADER in the Maintenance Branch (1440.3), Production Division (1440), Naval Foundry and Propellor Center (1400) (NFPC), located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on programmable logic controllers. You will formulate, strategize and implement diagnostic protocol and preventive maintenance procedures for machinery, tooling and process equipment. You will utilize machine data to diagnose machining conditions and exhibit strong problem sensitivity. You will execute reactive, preventive and predictive maintenance eon site equipment to ensure safety and availability. You will evaluate essential data and devise strategies to resolve identified problems. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff to solve the most difficult electronic system problems. Experience utilizing advanced tools, specialized software, and complex blueprints to repair and connect instrumentation to computer networks. Experience diagnosing and repairing complex electronics by reading technical manuals and schematic diagrams. Experience operating tools like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters to keep equipment working properly. Experience performing standard testing and repair of electronic equipment. Experience navigating tools like oscilloscopes and power supplies while following technical manuals and diagrams to ensure systems are functioning.
