Job Title: Accounting AssistantJob Description

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Accounting Assistant to join our team. This is a temp-to-permanent position, requiring you to work onsite from Monday to Friday with flexible hours between 8 AM to 6 PM. You will play a crucial role in providing accounting and administrative support to both clients and internal staff in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities

Daily processing, uploading, and coding of invoices.

Assist with accounting deadlines and projects.

Enter cash receipts and billing adjustments for accounts receivable.

Process accounts payable by entering invoices and ensuring proper documentation.

Generate periodic and monthly reporting documents.

Create vendor numbers and contracts.

Run AR reports weekly and contact tenants regarding late payments.

Answer questions from Shared Services about payments and tenant accounts.

Provide administrative support by creating, modifying, or finalizing documents.

Assist the Accounting Manager and General Manager/Assistant General Manager with tasks.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Daily processing of invoices.

Creating vendor numbers.

Running AR reports weekly and contacting tenants on late payments.

Answering Shared Services questions regarding payments and tenant accounts.

Experience with Yardi Voyager software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.

1-2 years of experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Accounts Payable.

Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Excel.

Strong time management and communication skills.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork skills to support other departments as needed.

Organizational skills to maintain an efficient workspace and filing system.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite in an office environment, potentially sitting for long periods. The role is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines. You will be expected to dress professionally and work within a team structure while also handling tasks independently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
