Position Summary:
????? The Sr. Manager, Compliance & Legal Operations, is responsible for supporting the broad objectives of the Legal Department by providing hands-on operational, documentation and project support across legal and compliance functions. This position partners closely with senior staff to identify and prioritize departmental initiatives and to then act with limited or indirect supervision to achieve agreed upon goals. This role ensures that compliance processes and procedure obligations are effectively implemented and maintained. ????
Performance Objectives:
?? Contribute to achieving the overall objectives of the Legal Department through implementation and execution of legal and compliance operational processes and workflows.
? Identify opportunities and explore potential solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the Legal Department.
? Provide input on proposed business strategies and programs.
? Provide operational support for legal and compliance matters, including follow-up, coordination, and tracking of assigned matters.
? Support compliant business activities by providing legal and operational support and facilitate risk-based decision making.
? Conduct policy and procedure reviews and update policy and procedures; develop and update training materials.
? Assist as directed in the conduct of risk assessments and trend analysis, investigations, and audits.
? Assist with contract drafting, review, tracking, and documentation.
? Develop and implement corporate and/or functional monitoring plans.
? Provide oversight and operational support on transparency report compilation and filing.
? Collaborates with Legal and Compliance and with internal and cross-functional partners.
? Assess and implement systems and process enhancements.
? Perform other duties as required. ?
Education/Certification Requirements:
??? Bachelor's degree required. ABA approved Paralegal Certification preferred. ?
? 10+ years relevant experience. ?
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
?? Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and applicable business practices.
? Extensive experience providing support for in-house legal teams.
? Ability to develop solutions to unusual and complex issues.
? Ability to draft moderate to complex policy documents.
? Ability to manage and organize legal and compliance documentation and workflows.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Detail oriented, with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
? Ability to be a team player in a cross-functional business environment.
? Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
? Ability to take initiative.
? Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
? Knowledge of PC software, including Microsoft Office products.
? Knowledge of MS Project is a plus. ?
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $159,800- $188,000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this @type. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including annual bonus/incentive comp plans, potential long term incentive plan, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate/employee receives an offer of employment.
