We are looking for a Quality Performance Specialist for the Quality Section of the Office of Cost Control and Quality Improvement (CCQI) !
The Quality Section of CCQI exists to act as a department-wide resource to support improved health outcomes and reduce health care costs for the Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) populations. The Section is organized into two units: the Quality Performance Unit and the Quality Compliance Unit. The Quality Performance Unit leads the development and implementation of standardized clinical quality measures and quality metric reporting tools across Department programs. It oversees quality measurement and reporting for Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs), Managed Care Organizations, CHP+, providers, and members, including how data are shared to support performance improvement.

What You'll Be Doing as Quality Performance Specialist:
Serves as a quality improvement staff authority in directing, implementing and managing the quality components of behavioral health programs, including mental health and substance use disorder initiatives. Management of the quality components of behavioral health programs includes development and implementation of programs, as well as ongoing evaluation and assessment of programs.
Provides advice and technical assistance regarding Department guidelines related to behavioral health quality, which have a direct impact on behavioral health quality related policy and programs across Department divisions.
Serves as the Liaison between the Cost Control and Quality Improvement (CCQI) Quality team and the Office of Community Living (OCL) Quality Teams to support alignment across programs as well as supporting coordination with OCL as it relates to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Strategies (CMS) Managed Care Quality Rating System.
Identifies and determines the best quality strategy for the collection and reporting on quality metrics related to all assigned programs, including but not limited to supporting quality activities within the 1115 Demonstration, Behavioral Health Incentive Program, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Work, and Dental Programming.
Supports legislative quality reporting by developing and reporting the quality measure components for behavioral health programs.
Leads the State quality monitoring of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations.
Identifies and provides guidance with other special projects as assigned.

Experience Only:
Seven (7) total years of professional experience in:
Operational and/or quality improvement work in a behavioral health clinic setting
Implementing, supporting and/or managing the quality improvement components of behavioral health programs
A closely related occupational field.
Option 2:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in public healthcare policy, public health, healthcare administration, or a field of study related to the work assignment
AND
Three (3) total years of professional experience in:
Operational and/or quality improvement work in a behavioral health clinic setting
Implementing, supporting and/or managing the quality improvement components of behavioral health programs
A closely related occupational field.
Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Relevant education will be calculated as the following:
An associates will count as two years of experience
A bachelors will count as four years of experience
A masters degree will count for six years of experience
A doctorate or juris doctorate degree will count for seven years of experience
