Job Title: Construction Project Manager - Factory ProjectsJob Description
This role leads and supports construction projects within a factory environment, ensuring that all activities align with project scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations. The Construction Project Manager coordinates stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams, provides project engineering support, and oversees onsite execution from initial planning through transition to sustaining operations. The position requires a senior-level construction project management professional who can work effectively both remotely and onsite as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide project management support for factory construction projects from planning through completion.
Coordinate construction activities across stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with project scope and objectives.
Manage and track construction schedules, ensuring milestones are met and work stays on plan.
Oversee vendor performance and onsite execution, addressing issues and facilitating timely resolutions.
Provide project engineering consultation to support construction execution and resolve technical challenges.
Conduct onsite job walks, inspections, and audits to verify progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
Support approval processes by documenting findings from inspections and audits and communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
Attend weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and provide clear, concise weekly status updates to program and project leadership.
Contribute to the development and management of the project schedule, scope, and implementation plans.
Support and promote safety standards throughout all phases of construction.
Coordinate IT resources, vendor teams, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and minimize disruptions.
Assist with the transition of completed projects into sustaining operations, ensuring a smooth handover to ongoing facility or operations teams.
Manage and track RFIs (Requests for Information) and change orders, ensuring they are documented, reviewed, and incorporated into project plans.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to align construction activities with design intent and site development requirements.
Support estimation efforts by providing input on scope, schedule, and construction requirements.
Essential Skills
senior-level construction project management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
Strong experience managing construction schedules, including planning, tracking, and adjusting timelines.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and oversee onsite construction execution.
Hands-on experience with construction management practices, including coordination of trades and site activities.
Proficiency in project coordination across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
Experience managing RFIs and change orders within construction projects.
Background in project engineering and the ability to provide engineering consultation during construction.
Experience with engineering and design collaboration to support construction execution.
Knowledge of site development and construction processes.
Ability to support estimation activities related to construction scope and implementation.
Strong communication skills for leading meetings and providing clear status updates.
Ability to work effectively both remotely and onsite as required by project needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience working in factory or manufacturing environments.
Experience participating in or leading OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in construction environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and schedule management.
Ability to collaborate with IT teams and technical vendors to coordinate infrastructure and systems required for construction projects.
Work Environment
The role supports factory construction projects and involves a mix of remote work and onsite presence, depending on project phase and needs. Onsite work includes regular job walks, inspections, and audits in active construction areas, requiring comfort in a dynamic, industrial environment with coordination among multiple trades and vendors. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
