Summary You will serve as a INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS COORDINATOR in the NAVAL COMMAND COLLEGE of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE. Responsibilities You will serve as Deputy Director providing counsel and advice to the Director and serves as Director in the incumbent's absence. You will educate international military students on the structure and organizational culture of the U.S. Navy and the United States. You will develop and supervise the execution of the Naval Command College schedule, Field Studies Program budget, coordinates with other elements of NWC, and engages with members and organizations of civilian community. You will plan, develop, coordinate, and execute the schedule of the Naval Command College's international education, engagement programs, and special/culture events. You will coordinate and work with other internal and external organizations to schedule and execute an effective orientation program for international students upon arrival. You will independently research locations and venues/institutions of government, industry, social safety net agencies, and cultural elements of the U.S. You will develop and manage the program's annual budget within set guidelines and track and maintain data regarding the status of NCC-assigned funds for the year, while providing regular updates. You will review and approve all NCC-related purchases and review travel authorizations and vouchers for validity and accuracy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications A graduate of a Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) is preferred. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Independently planning, directing, and administering complex international education or engagement programs; 2) Serving as a senior advisor to executive leadership by developing courses of action and providing authoritative recommendations affecting mission-critical operations; 3) Managing and overseeing program budgets, travel, and resources to ensure compliance with federal regulations; and 4) Coordinating and leading multi-stakeholder activities involving internal organizations, interagency partners, and international counterparts. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
