Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to own and scale the analytics engineering layer that powers company-wide decision-making. This role is responsible for transforming raw application and event data into trusted, well-modeled datasets and metrics used across Product, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering. This is a high-impact IC role with significant visibility and ownership. This is a fully remote role and a 6 month contract.

What This Person Will Do

Own and execute a backlog of analytics engineering projects

Design, build, and maintain dimensional data models in dbt

Create datasets that answer core business questions

Define, standardize, and govern KPIs and metrics

Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable data models

Improve data quality, documentation, and usability across the organization

Support analytics and data science modeling use cases

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or a closely related role, with significant hands-on experience building and maintaining production dbt projects

Strong, hands-on dbt experience

Advanced SQL skills beyond query-writing

Experience working in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake or similar)

Background in B2C data engineering environments

Ability to balance business @context with technical execution

Experience working with data quality and observability tools (e.g., BigEye, Elementary, dbt tests, Great Expectations, or similar) - Experience in media, streaming, or entertainment industry

? Familiar with video delivery analytics, content performance metrics, or advertising data
