The Difference You Make:
The Executive Director, CIB IT - Front Office Rates & Credit, is responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy supporting the Rates and Credit trading businesses. This role partners directly with Front Office leadership to deliver technology capabilities that drive revenue growth, enhance client offering, and enable new product development.
Operating at the intersection of trading, risk, and technology, the incumbent leads the evolution of low-latency, high-performance platforms supporting pricing, execution, and real-time risk. The role combines strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and strong business engagement to ensure platform resiliency, scalability, and competitive advantage in global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Technology Leadership
Partner with Rates & Credit business heads to define and execute the technolgy strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth and market expansion
Influence investment decisions and prioritize the technology book of work across front-office platforms
Drive innovation and modernization initiatives across trading systems and architecture
Front Office Platform Ownership & Excellence
Own the end-to-end delivery of front-office trading platforms , including pricing, execution, and risk systems
Ensure platforms are robust, scalable, low-latency, and highly resilient in a real-time trading environment
Lead integration and optimization of ION platforms and other vendor/in-house systems
Oversee market data, pricing engines, and trade lifecycle flows across Rates and Credit products
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Drive target-state architecture , ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while meeting front-office performance demands
Promote modern engineering practices (API-driven architecture, event-based systems, DevOps)
Partner with Quant and Risk teams to enhance pricing models and analytics capabilities
Platform Resiliency & Risk Management
Ensure strong operational stability, resiliency, and control frameworks
Lead incident, problem, and change management in a mission-critical trading environment
Maintain compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk requirements
Global Team Leadership & Delivery
Lead, mentor, and scale a globally distributed technology organization
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage large-scale delivery programs across multiple applications and teams

Education:
Bachelor's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required
Master's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred
Qualifications:
12+ Years Experience in field or similar industry - Required.
Significant experience in Financial Services technology , with a strong focus on Front Office / Global Markets (Rates & Credit)
Proven track record in a senior technology leadership role (ED level or equivalent)
Deep understanding of Rates and/or Credit products (IR derivatives, bonds, CDS, structured products)
Strong experience with front-office trading systems, pricing, and real-time risk
Hands-on experience with ION platforms or equivalent vendor systems
Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, complex technology ecosystems (architecture through production)
Strong background in low-latency, high-throughput systems and distributed architectures
Proven ability to lead transformation and modernization programs
Experience managing budgets, priorities, and investment decisions
Leadership & Competencies:
Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted partnerships with Front Office leadership
Demonstrated people leadership , with experience managing global teams
Ability to operate in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and high pressure
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
Strong awareness of regulatory, risk, and control frameworks
It Would Be Nice For You To Have:
Experience with electronic trading and algorithmic platforms
Exposure to quantitative models and pricing libraries
Experience with cloud adoption in trading environments
Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education. **?
What Else You Need To Know:**
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

$220,000.00 USD
Maximum:
$275,000.00 USD
