Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (Tech I / Tech II)
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician supports safe, compliant, and efficient production operations in a cGMP manufacturing environment. This role prepares and executes manufacturing batch records, follows detailed work instructions and SOPs, and performs in-process testing with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and documentation. The technician works in a cleanroom setting, maintains equipment and raw material inventory, and contributes to continuous improvement activities while supporting rotating 12-hour production shifts.
Responsibilities
Prepare for and execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with a strong focus on safety and right-first-time execution.
Weigh, transfer, and mix chemicals according to established procedures and specifications.
Accurately document all activities to meet cGMP requirements and ensure data integrity.
Maintain cGMP compliance in all assigned work and strictly follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work notifications on time to support reliable equipment operation.
Perform equipment testing and routine troubleshooting of process and analytical equipment.
Draft, review, and revise manufacturing and related documents as necessary to keep procedures current and compliant.
Run in-process analytical testing as required to support production and product quality.
Maintain raw materials inventory using systems such as Kanban and ensure materials are available for scheduled production.
Keep training records up to date and complete all required training within specified timeframes.
Participate in safety inspections and contribute to a strong safety culture within the manufacturing area.
Support and participate in improvement projects and lean activities to enhance process efficiency and quality.
Participate in shift exchanges, one-on-one discussions, and team meetings to ensure effective communication and smooth handoffs between shifts.
Adapt to area needs based on changes in schedule, priorities, or processes while maintaining compliance and productivity.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
For Tech I: approximately 1 year of cGMP experience OR an associate degree.
For Tech II: 1-3 years of cGMP experience OR a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience in a manufacturing and/or GMP environment is required.
Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment and follow strict gowning and contamination control procedures.
Strong understanding and application of cGMP principles in daily work.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions, SOPs, and batch records with high attention to detail.
Basic equipment operation, testing, and routine troubleshooting skills for process and analytical equipment.
Strong math skills, including rounding decimals to the tenth or hundredth, multiplying decimals, and performing unit conversions such as grams to liters or milliliters to liters.
Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and legible documentation in a regulated environment.
Comfort working on rotating 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) as part of a structured schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with aseptic technique is preferred.
Prior cleanroom or controlled environment experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with Kanban or similar inventory management systems is an advantage.
Experience participating in lean activities or continuous improvement initiatives is helpful.
Strong communication skills to support effective shift exchanges and team collaboration.
Ability to adapt to process changes and site-wide adjustments to schedules or procedures.

Work Environment
This role is primarily based in a cleanroom area known as CORE, where you will follow strict gowning procedures to protect product quality. The environment requires adherence to contamination control standards, including no beards, no artificial eyelashes or nails, no nail polish, and no items that could compromise the product. The noise level is usually moderate to high, and headphones are not permitted, so you should be comfortable maintaining focus in a busy production setting. The typical schedule consists of rotating 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off), with potential adjustments based on site-wide changes. Work is performed around production and analytical equipment under cGMP conditions, with regular use of personal protective equipment and compliance with all safety and documentation standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
