Job Title: Entry-Level Machine Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on operating screw machines and CNC machines to produce precision components used in hydraulic units, refrigeration systems, industrial machinery, and agricultural equipment. The position requires hands-on machining experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with a variety of tools and production equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate screw machines and CNC machines to manufacture components for hydraulic units, refrigeration units, industrial machinery, and farming equipment.

Set up, run, and monitor Mori Seiki machines and RoboDrill equipment to ensure efficient and accurate production.

Operate Davenport screw machines and CNC equipment in accordance with production specifications and safety standards.

Perform basic maintenance and adjustments on CNC and screw machines to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Use hand tools and measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and quality against required specifications.

Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, making necessary adjustments to tools, programs, and machine settings.

Follow production schedules, work instructions, and quality procedures to meet output and quality targets.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address production challenges and improve processes.

Support overtime needs as required to meet production demands.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed. The shop environment is calm, cool, and collected, providing a steady and focused atmosphere for machining work. Team members work with screw machines, CNC equipment, Mori Seiki machines, RoboDrills, and Davenport screw machines in a production facility that emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration. Attire is typical for a machine shop environment, suitable for hands-on work around machinery and tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
