Job Description
The Warehouse Worker - Spare Parts Associate plays a key role in the receiving operations of a clean, climate-controlled warehouse that supports high-end coffee machine production. You will focus on all incoming goods and spare parts, from unloading trucks and inspecting shipments to accurately processing receipts in the ERP system and organizing inventory for efficient access. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you ensure inventory accuracy, timely processing of spare parts orders, and smooth coordination with production to support on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
Handle all receiving activities for the warehouse, focusing on spare parts and incoming goods.
Read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and inventory stock sheets to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
Unload trucks safely using manual and electric pallet jacks.
Inspect incoming goods for damages, shortages, or incorrect items and promptly report discrepancies to inventory and procurement teams.
Systematically transfer stock to the correct warehouse locations and maintain accurate physical and system records.
Properly label, organize, and store received inventory in designated warehouse locations, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Schedule spare parts orders in the UPS online portal and ensure correct shipment setup.
Process spare parts orders in the ERP system, including manual data entry from packing slips to track inventory.
Enter and update data in Excel spreadsheets and carrier websites (UPS/FedEx) to support accurate shipping and inventory records.
Label and organize packages for shipment, ensuring correct routing and documentation.
Coordinate with production personnel to support order completion and on-time delivery of products and spare parts.
Monitor and regulate spare parts inventory both physically and systematically to maintain accurate stock levels.
Participate in cross-training across four warehouse areas: parcels (picking, packing, UPS labeling), inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and production support.
Pick and prepare part numbers based on requests to keep the production line supplied and running efficiently.
Perform general warehouse tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and squatting to stock shelves and move materials safely.
Work collaboratively with a team of approximately six colleagues, each with defined responsibilities, while focusing on the receiving function.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse environment handling shipping, receiving, and general labor tasks.
Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory tracking and order processing.
Experience with parcel processing, including picking, packing, and labeling shipments.
Experience in inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and production support activities.
Comfort working with online carrier portals and basic office software for documentation and tracking.
Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
Personable and motivated approach, with an interest in growing and taking on additional responsibilities within the warehouse.
