Key Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments, monitor vitals, and perform study procedures within the full nursing scope.
Administer investigational products (as permitted), oversee study participants, and safeguard patient safety.
Support participant recruitment, screening, and informed consent processes.
Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, ICH, and DoD Human Research Protection Program requirements.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with electronic data capture queries.
Serve as a vital liaison among clinicians, research teams, and military personnel.
Perform protocol-specific tasks, such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and specimen collection, as needed.
Support protocol adherence, deviation reporting, and audit preparation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active Virginia RN license (or willingness to obtain).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
At least 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance (or current Public Trust with ability to upgrade).
Strong clinical assessment, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACRP or SOCRA certification.
Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Experience with MHS GENESIS.
Previous experience in DoD, VA, or federal healthcare research.
Key Research Areas:
Work includes but is not limited to studies in cardiology, hematology, nephrology, traumatic brain injury (TBI), adult specialty care, and more.
