The Mission Statement of theOffice of State Fire Marshal is to uphold the law and provide for the protection of life and property from the hazards of fire or explosion, to ensure the safety of our citizens in the constructed environment, to provide equal access to disabled individuals and to promote the efficient use of energy in commercial buildings. This position location is East Baton Rouge Parish.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support daily operations and ensure organizational efficiency. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative activities, managing schedules and communications, maintaining records, and assisting with projects across departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:
As an Administrative Coordinator 4, you will serve as a senior-level support professional responsible for coordinating complex administrative operations, managing workflows, and ensuring efficient office and program support across the organization. In this role, you will:
Perform complex and specialized administrative duties in support of the executive team
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in applying policies and procedures
Manage responsibilities of increasing scope and complexity, primarily focused on departmental and program operations

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
