Nammo Perry is a center of excellence for the design, development and production of munitions and pyrotechnic products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Nammo employees working at the Florida site manufacture all @types of 40mm low and high velocity ammunition; pyrotechnic marking; signaling and tactical illumination devices; battlefield effects training simulators; demolition charges; hand grenade fuzes; and other ammunition components. Additionally, they provide load, assemble, and pack (LAP) services for large caliber direct-fire ammunition.
As an Engineering Intern, you may work with Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineers to develop, implement, and improve processes that help drive program objectives. The Manufacturing Engineer interns may also work with the manufacturing teams to apply lean manufacturing techniques to investigate defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
What You'll Do: Precision in Action
Work with the manufacturing team to develop and refine manufacturing and test procedures
Collaborates cross-functionally with key team members to resolve manufacturing issues
Assist with process breakdowns and defect resolutions to help mitigate production downtime and material waste
Analyze manufacturing data to predict trends or highlight an issue
Generate reports for completed improvement projects
What Dedicated Interns Bring
Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials) or similar
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or project management tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
