Construction Laborer

Key Responsibilities:

Assist skilled masons in the construction, repair, and restoration of structures made of brick, block, and stone.

Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.

Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas.

Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and mortar.

Operate and maintain various hand and power tools.

Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures.

Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.

Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.

Assist in aligning, positioning, and securing materials during installation.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe worksite.

Perform other duties as assigned to support construction activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction or masonry is preferred but not required.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with team members.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Capable of bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
