Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Pick up cookies from conveyor belt and place them into the clamshell packages
Close clamshell packages and place them facing the same direction onto the take-a-way conveyor
Add cookies to lightweight clam-shell packages (rework)
Ensure workstation is stocked with the necessary amount of clamshells throughout the shift
Notify Packing Lead if products or packaging materials do not meet specifications
May load clamshells into auto tray packer on auto tray packing lines.
Responsible for food safety, food defense and food quality
Responsible to follow all GMP's and Safety Procedures
Other duties as assigned

Have the ability topack cookies quickly and efficiently
Keep their work area clean
Keep their work area stocked and organized
Tools used : Packing Materials, housekeeping tools, etc. (i.e. broom, dustpan, etc.)
The performance of the packer is rated on the speed and accuracy of packing while minimizing waste. The packer is rated by the Packing Lead. Packers are expected to pack 4-5 Clamshells of product per minute (required expectation). Cookie Packers are expected to rotate packing workstations on the line, which includes being able to work on both sides of the line, as well as work on opposite sides of the belt to minimize injury potential.

Physical Demands :
Cookie Packers are required to stand next to a moving conveyor belt for the majority of their shift.
Stress can range from moderate to high depending on the staffing, machine, or ordering conditions.
Employees must be free of motion sickness.
Employees pack cookies from a workstation positioned alongside/next to the conveyor.Workstation faces the conveyor.
Required to reachand lift full clamshells, at least 5 times a minute.
Environmental considerations include temperature fluctuations and standing on concrete floor for prolonged periods of time, typically eight or more hours.
Conditions may involve working in an environment that varies in temperature
Constantly reaching and grasping cookies off from a moving conveyor belt. (Cookies weigh approximately1.6 ounces each)
Cookie Packers need to have good eye and hand coordination.
Empty Clamshell weight is 5 ounces.
Full Clamshell weight ranges from 1 to 2.5 lbs. each.
Required PPE:
Company approved Safety Glasses.
Company approved non-slip/non-skid steel toed/composite toed shoes. (Slip rating 4+)
Qualifications /Education/Experience/Skills
Education: HS Diploma or GED
Experience:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
