Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
The Electrical Assembler produces high-quality components by assembling parts and subassemblies, with a strong focus on electrical wiring and integration. This role involves working from parts lists, blueprints, and electrical diagrams to build and install electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, and related components using a variety of hand and power tools in a climate-controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electrical parts and subassemblies to produce finished components according to specifications.
Perform intermediate-level electrical wiring and integrate electrical wires into products, wire harnesses, and assemblies.
Use hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press-fit tools to assemble and secure components.
Operate hand and power tools, including torque drills, wrenches, and ratchets, to complete assembly tasks safely and accurately.
Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, onto chassis and panels.
Connect component wires to circuits and route and connect wires between individual component leads following diagrams and schematics.
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies into cases, cabinets, or enclosures as required.
Position and align components and parts precisely to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and electrical assembly diagrams to guide assembly and wiring activities.
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials before starting each job.
Perform basic quality control checks on assemblies and wiring to verify accuracy, functionality, and adherence to standards.
Clean and maintain the work area, tools, and equipment to support a safe and organized production environment.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical wiring and integrating electrical wires into products at an intermediate level.
Experience with wire harness assembly and wire harness design.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, electrical assembly diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience with electronic assembly and electrical assembly processes.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, including torque drills, wrenches, and ratchets.
Ability to use hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press-fit tools.
Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in an assembly line or production environment.
Familiarity with cable and wiring assembly, including routing and securing wires and wire harnesses.
Strong attention to detail and quality when following blueprints, parts lists, and assembly instructions.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Comfort working extended shifts and weekends when required by production demands.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled production facility designed to provide a comfortable and consistent working temperature. Team members typically work 10-hour shifts and should expect weekend work for the time being, with a first-shift schedule of approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment involves regular use of hand and power tools, including torque drills, wrenches, ratchets, and various assembly tools, while working at benches or stations assembling electrical and mechanical components. The workspace emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
