Note: Position is located at the Lakewood Campus. Anticipated work hours for the positions will be Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May be required to work other shifts during staff shortages, inclement weather, or to meet the needs of the department. Travel to all RRCC campuses will be required. Description of Job
Job Summary:
This full-time position maintains campus buildings through the independent application of various trades skills including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work. Facilitates college event setups, working with internal and external customers. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Work Order Management:
Review assigned work orders submitted by internal customers for skilled painting and maintenance tasks
Determine actions required, prioritize work assignments, and identify appropriate standards and procedures
Communicate directly with customers via email, phone, and in-person to discuss work order specifics, process, next steps, and timelines
Perform skilled painting and maintenance tasks including applying latex and oil-based paints to walls, door/window frames, and patching problem areas throughout campus
Event Setup Coordination:
Operate autonomously as the primary event setup coordinator for the Lakewood campus
Conduct event setup for college meetings/events, division/department meetings, interviews, open forums, student events, and external customer events
Receive event setup requests, review specifications, and communicate directly with requestors
Reinforce room setup guidelines and ensure occupancy limits are not exceeded for event spaces
Submit supply request orders for materials related to signage to the LTC Operations I for review and approval
Minor Plumbing and Electrical Repairs:
Perform minor repairs on pipes, toilets, sinks, and drinking fountains
Change out light bulbs and fluorescent tubes following standard procedures and using specific bulbs for ballasts and lamps
Locksmith Backup:
Serve as backup for locksmith duties, including cutting new keys, replacing locks, and collecting keys from departing employees
Other Duties:
Assist department staff with various projects and tasks
Attend department, division, and college meetings
Participate on college committees
Complete trainings as assigned by LTC Operations I

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Four (4) years of experience in the structural trades (building maintenance trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical maintenance). Application must list specific experience related to this position. Must possess excellent customer service skills to include communicating with and responding to all levels of employees in a professional environment. Do not use "see resume" statements on application. Your application must be completed in its entirety describing your experience in order to be considered. (Part-time experience will be pro-rated)
OR
Education and Experience:
Successful completion of a formalized apprenticeship program or higher level course work from an accredited, non-correspondence, vocational or trades school in Construction Technology or Property Maintenance may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A copy of your transcripts must be submitted with your application prior to the application deadline in order to be considered. Please redact age-related information on your transcript.
Conditions of Employment: Must possess and maintain a current, valid
Colorado driver's license to operate company vehicles to transport
supplies, attend meetings, etc. Must submit to and successfully complete a
