Sales Manager | Permanent Position | Remote with Restrictions | Pay: 55k - 60k/yr

Job Description

The Sales Manager develops and grows a high-potential territory by building strong relationships with current and prospective customers, driving revenue through proactive field sales, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic, hands-on sales professional who thrives in a largely remote environment with regular travel, and who is motivated by the opportunity to significantly expand a historically underdeveloped territory.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular field travel within the assigned region.

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with prospective customers to grow the territory.

Spend approximately 50% of work time selling in the field, meeting customers on-site, and actively promoting products and services.

Increase overall sales and revenue by executing proactive outbound sales calls and in-person visits.

Gather detailed customer information and feedback on services to better understand needs, trends, and opportunities.

Increase customer satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns and resolving complaints in accordance with company policies.

Continuously monitor the territory's performance and identify strategies to restore and surpass previous revenue levels.

Manage accounts effectively by maintaining regular contact, following up on quotes, and ensuring timely responses to customer requests.

Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, track activities, and communicate effectively with internal teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customers receive appropriate support, pricing, and service.

Plan and manage travel schedules efficiently to maximize time in the field and coverage of the territory.

Represent the company professionally at all times, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Essential Skills

At least 5 years of construction sales experience or manufacturing sales experience.

Proven success in sales, including territory development and revenue growth.

Strong account management skills with the ability to maintain and expand customer relationships.

Experience conducting outbound sales calls and in-person sales meetings.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability and willingness to travel with a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience revitalizing or growing an underdeveloped or previously maintained sales territory.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying organized and accountable.

Strong problem-solving skills to address customer issues and find effective solutions within company guidelines.

High level of self-motivation and drive to pursue new business and exceed sales targets.

Comfort working closely with long-tenured leadership and learning from established industry expertise.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote and field-based, offering significant autonomy in managing your schedule and travel. You will spend a substantial portion of your time traveling within the assigned region to visit customers and prospects, with flexibility in how you plan your trips. The territory has historically generated significantly higher revenue than its current level, creating a strong opportunity for growth-minded sales professionals. You will report directly to a highly experienced leader with long-term tenure in the organization. The company provides a truck, mobile phone, and credit card to support your travel and day-to-day business activities. You will use standard business technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, for communication, reporting, and account management

This is a Permanent position based out of Bates City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Pay Rate: 55k based salary Commission Structure Forum sales- 1% of sales except for Ties .5% Windows 1.5% Average forum sale 150k so 1% of that. Benefits Competitive salary plus commission 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off
