Job Title: Janitorial Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout a large, climate-controlled warehouse facility, including restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, offices, and warehouse areas. You will perform a full range of janitorial tasks such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation while working independently on a structured cleaning schedule.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and restocking supplies.
Clean and tidy breakrooms, including wiping tables and counters, cleaning sinks and appliances as needed, and removing trash.
Maintain cleanliness in hallways, offices, and warehouse areas by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
Pick up plastic and other debris from the warehouse floor and common areas to maintain a safe, clutter-free environment.
Dust high and low surfaces, including poles, railings, and other fixtures throughout the facility.
Wipe down and maintain safety lines and directional lines on the warehouse floor to keep them visible and clean.
Perform high dusting tasks in designated areas as part of the regular cleaning cycle.
Mop floors in restrooms, hallways, warehouse walkways, and other assigned areas.
Collect, remove, and replace trash bags in restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and warehouse areas.
Clean and tidy offices, including dusting surfaces and removing trash.
Start each shift by stocking cleaning supplies and materials needed for the day's tasks.
Follow a structured cleaning sequence throughout the shift, moving from stocking to warehouse floor cleaning, high dusting, mopping, restroom cleaning, and office cleanup.
Comply with all safety procedures and warehouse rules while working around warehouse employees, forklifts, and equipment.
Maintain consistent communication with supervisors via cell phone as needed during the shift.
Participate in orientation and safety training and apply all safety practices on the job.
Essential Skills
Experience performing janitorial, custodial, or cleaning duties in a commercial, industrial, or warehouse environment.
Ability to perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to a high standard of cleanliness.
Comfort working in a large facility around warehouse employees, forklifts, and other moving equipment.
Ability to work independently and stay productive while working alone for the duration of the shift.
Physical ability to bend, twist, stand, kneel, and walk for the entire 12-hour shift.
Strong sense of responsibility and reliability to complete assigned tasks consistently and on schedule.
Basic customer service mindset when interacting with building occupants and warehouse personnel.
Ability to follow safety instructions, dress code requirements, and site-specific procedures.
Ability to use basic cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfort with busy, fast-paced work and managing a steady workload throughout a long shift.
Willingness to follow strict appearance and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Comfort working with minimal supervision while maintaining regular communication with supervisors.
Preparedness to complete orientation and safety training on the first day, including providing valid identification.

Work Environment
You work inside a large, climate-controlled warehouse with adjacent offices, restrooms, and breakrooms. The schedule follows a 2/2/3 rotation with 12-hour shifts from 6am to 6pm, and you primarily work alone, maintaining direct contact with supervisors via cell phone throughout the shift. The workday starts with stocking cleaning supplies, then progresses through warehouse floor tidying, wiping safety and directional lines, high dusting, mopping, restroom cleaning and restocking, trash removal, and office cleanup. The facility operates with active warehouse traffic, including forklifts and other equipment, and you must follow all safety procedures. Safety-toed shoes are required, and safety vests and safety glasses are provided and must be worn. The dress code requires long pants, no tank tops or hoodies, and clothing without tears. Jewelry, watches, and rings are not permitted in the warehouse. Hair must be maintained above the vest collar and free of sharp metal or hard plastic headbands. Orientation, safety training, and on-the-floor instruction take place on the first day, and valid identification is required at that time.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
