Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist supports hospital operations by accurately stocking supplies in patient and procedure rooms, picking materials for clinical cases, and delivering supplies throughout the facility. This role is highly active and requires being on your feet for most of the shift while ensuring that critical materials are available where and when they are needed. You will work with inventory systems, communicate with clinical staff, and help maintain an organized and efficient supply chain within the hospital.
Responsibilities
Fill and issue supply orders accurately and in a timely manner to support patient care and clinical procedures.
Receive incoming materials and supplies, verify accuracy, and ensure they are properly documented and stored.
Stock and replenish supplies in designated rooms and areas throughout the hospital according to established par levels and procedures.
Pick supplies for scheduled and unscheduled cases, ensuring that all required items are available before procedures begin.
Transport materials and supplies safely and efficiently to various hospital departments using appropriate equipment such as electric cart pullers.
Use computers to document inventory transactions, update stock levels, and process orders and receipts.
Answer phone calls to confirm required materials, respond to supply requests, and coordinate delivery times and locations with hospital staff.
Monitor inventory levels regularly and report low stock or discrepancies to help prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in storage rooms, supply areas, and transport routes.
Provide courteous and responsive customer service to clinical and non-clinical staff when addressing supply needs and questions.
Follow hospital policies and procedures related to material handling, safety, and confidentiality.
Collaborate with team members to ensure coverage across shifts and support high-priority or urgent supply needs.
Essential Skills
At least 6+ months of inventory, supply chain, warehouse, or order picking experience.
At least 6+ months of professional experience working with a computer, with strong computer literacy and comfort with technology.
Ability to stand and work on your feet for the entire shift.
Experience with basic warehouse or supply distribution tasks such as stocking, picking, and receiving.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when filling orders and documenting inventory.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early-morning shifts and weekend schedules as assigned.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
6+ months of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a nice-to-have and will help you adapt quickly to the environment.
Prior experience with supply chain operations in a healthcare environment, including linens and supply distribution, is beneficial.
Customer service experience, especially in a fast-paced setting, is an advantage.
Familiarity with mail or materials distribution processes is helpful.
Comfort using telephones and basic office or inventory software systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet supply and inventory needs.

Work Environment
This position is based in a hospital setting and involves working 2-3 shifts per week with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. You will work either Saturday or Sunday every other week, with both days preferred when possible. Standard first-shift hours are 3:00 AM-11:30 AM on Saturday and/or Sunday, plus an additional 1-2 weekday shifts with flexibility on which days. Additional voluntary shifts are also available from 3:00 AM-11:30 AM. The role is physically active and requires being on your feet for the duration of the shift, moving throughout the hospital to deliver supplies. You will use electric cart pullers, telephones, and computers regularly to complete your tasks. The dress code requires black or khaki pants in accordance with the uniform policy. Parking is available via a paid parking pass or by securing a street parking spot, depending on your preference.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.10 - $18.10/hr.
