fill 3 Bartender positions from July 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026. This
is for temporary, full-time peakload employment. Duties include: Under
the supervision of the restaurant owner, prepare and serve alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards;
provide service to guests at the bar and over the phone; take food and
beverage orders from bar guests and enter them accurately into the POS
system; serve food to guests seated at the bar ensuring proper
presentation and guest satisfaction; answer incoming phone calls
professionally and take and process takeout orders; verify order
accuracy and coordinate with kitchen staff; check guest identification
to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws; handle cash and credit
card transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer; monitor guest
behavior to maintain a safe and responsible environment; communicate
with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service;
maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing
glassware and replenishing supplies. The job duties for the bartender
will be performed primarily in lounge/bar area and immediate dining area
of the restaurant only. As needed, the bar tender will enter the kitchen
to retrieve any drink supplies required for job. Opening duties include
setting up bar, dining and lounge areas for the day, by laying out with
napkins and utensils, filling ice bins, cutting fruit for garnishes,
lighting candles, and setting tables and bar tops. During bar service,
the bartender washes glasses and tools used, such as cocktail shakers,
strainers, and bottle openers, behind the bar at the sink. Bartender
closing duties include cleaning and sanitizing the bar area, immediate
dining area, and lounge, using cleaning cloths, sanitizing sprays, and
disinfectant solutions; sweeping the floors with a broom and dustpan;
and occasionally washing floors with a mop and bucket. Additional bar
tender closing tasks include replenishing liquor, straws, napkins,
dishes, glassware, and other bar utensils. The bartender, in the bar,
also counts cash at the end of the night and locks the door to the main
entrance of the restaurant.
Requirements: No education is required. However, 6 months of
experience is required bartending and/or serving.
Required special skills/certifications: Bar tender required to have
or obtain Maine Alcohol Seller & Server Certification. Must have ability
to multitask in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of drink recipes and
food menu items, basic math and cash-handling skills, and the ability to
stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
Workers will be paid no less than \$26.32 per hour, combining base wage
and tips. The employer guarantees that each employee will earn at least
the prevailing wage determined per hour; if a workers base wage plus
tips does not meet the prevailing wage, the employer will pay the
difference to ensure the employee earns at least the prevailing wage
determined. Overtime is available as needed, up to 20 hours per week,
and will be paid at \$39.48 per hour. Work will be performed from Monday
through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with Wednesday as the
designated day off. Days and Times may vary based on business needs.
Employer will offer at least 40 hours per week. Job opportunity is
temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be
based at 9 Lakeview Dr, St. Agatha, ME 04 772 including the county of
Aroostook. Employer will provide transportation to and from worksite.
Single work week will be used to compute wages due. Pay period is
weekly. Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck required
by law. Housing will be provided by employer at a rate of \$10.00 per
day deducted from payroll. Housing is optional to workers. If the worker
completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay
directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of
recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract
or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or
pay for the workers reasonable costs for return transportation and
subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to
work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent
employment with another. The amount of transportation payment or
reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common
carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at
a rate of \$16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of
\$68.00
per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first week of work for all
visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees,
including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker (but
not including passport expenses or other charges primarily for the
