Duties and Responsibilities

Performs accounting services with primary support in Disbursements

(Accounts Payable, Payroll).

Prepares journal entries and reconciles account balances with

appropriate records.

Conducts special investigations and compiles accounting data for

specific activities.

Provide updates and documentation for processes and procedures.

Coordinates or performs the accumulation, analysis and distribution

of accounting data.

Coordinates accounting methods and recommends/implements improvement

in departmental procedures.

Performs liaison activities with accounting management, internal and

external customers.

Investigates problems and implements corrective action.

Reviews and analyzes accounting data for compliance with policies,

procedures, laws, regulations and DOE/NNSA orders.

Assists in training personnel in various accounting routines and

procedures.

Analyzes financial system output and initiates corrections as

required.

Performs, reviews, and analyzes a variety of financial-related

calculations.

You Must Have

High School diploma

5 or more years of relevant experience

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

United States Citizenship

Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined

by the needs of the business

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S.

Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

We Value

Associates degree in accounting

Knowledge of general accounting or payroll methods and practices

normally acquired through a degree in accounting or equivalent formal education and experience.

Proficiency in in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to quickly analyze complex financial information and

initiate/recommend appropriate actions.
