RN Manager - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie is seeking an experienced RN ICU Manager to lead our growing 18-bed Mixed ICU at a Magnet®-recognized hospital. This is a unique opportunity to join a low-turnover, high-performing team during an exciting period of facility expansion and program growth , including our journey toward Level III Trauma designation .

Position Overview

The RN Manager is responsible for the leadership and operational oversight of the ICU, ensuring exceptional patient care, strong staff engagement, and continued program development. This role partners closely with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence and future growth.

18-bed Mixed ICU

2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Team size: Approximately 45-50 employees

Diverse, high-acuity patient population

Expanding service lines including:

Neuro ICU growth

STEMI receiving capability

Expanding pulmonary procedures and services

Required Qualifications

Active RN license

Strong critical care background

Proven leadership experience in a critical care setting

Ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical experience in CV ICU , Neuro/Trauma ICU

Experience with program development and management

Background supporting expansion initiatives or service line growth

Job Summary

You are crucial as Manager of Nursing Registered Nurse 1 in creating a supportive, healthy space for staff. Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is needed for this role.

A minimum of (3) three years' relevant experience is desired.

Registered Nurse

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of starting the job.
