Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Vernon Hills, Illinois. In this role, you will handle key financial tasks such as billing, cash applications, and account reconciliation to ensure smooth and accurate operations. If you have a strong background in managing accounts receivable processes and possess excellent attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

Apply cash payments efficiently while maintaining detailed records.

Manage collections for commercial accounts, maintaining a detail-oriented and effective approach.

Reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Utilize the Odoo system for accounts receivable tasks and reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients regarding payment schedules.

Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance metrics.

Support audits and provide necessary documentation as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

Proficiency in handling billing functions and cash activity processes.

Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with Odoo or similar financial software systems.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Prior experience in commercial collections is preferred.
