Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is hiring a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer in the Logistics & Material Handling (LMH) group in Harahan, LA OR Baltimore MD, to design and manage the fabrication, implementation, testing and start-up of Intralox Material Handling conveyor equipment, deploying the rapidly proliferating range of solutions based on patented ARB technology. This is an onsite position, and travel is required within the Continental United States.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

Support successful execution (commissioning) of multiple multimillion-dollar projects of automated systems, to ensure successful customer system acceptance.

Support design from the conceptual phase through proto@type, qualification, and into production, as a key member of the development team.

Support the generation of solutions that are relevant, useful and cost effective.

Manage projects/tasks from conceptualization through completion.

Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical products by applying principles of mechanics, heat transfer, vibration, acoustics and materials in accordance with standard mechanical engineering and design formulas.

Assess feasibility of equipment in customer applications.

Support engineering design through an understanding of manufacturing process, cost estimating, creation of parts lists, sourcing, etc.

Participate in ongoing design & solution reviews and brainstorming sessions with other engineers.

Travel as needed to customer locations (up to 80% of the time) to support project and/or customer requirements.

Promote Intralox best practices, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or another similar field.

0-5 years of engineering experience.

Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Driven by passion for discovering scientific/physical truth rather than status or authority.

Self-motivated and managed.

Positive, confident outlook with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality.

Experience with 2-D CAD, MS Office, and other widely used software packages. 3-D CAD is a plus.

Strong analytical skills that can quickly recognize root causes, think in free body diagrams, and correlate technical decision-making to commercial strategies.

Technical aptitude, practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.

Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Enthusiastic about continuous learning and personal growth.

Approaches work with the mindset of making a difference and maximizing value.

When critical to project success, able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with job site environment

Prior experience in conveyance, material handling, or packaging industries.

Experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar 3-D CAD software.

Base knowledge of conveyor controls programming Studio5000, Ladder Logic, Python ).

Experience programming conveyor controls/network devices (Beckhoff/Allen Bradley PLCs, encoders, photo eyes, ControlLogix processors etc.).

Ability to produce, read, and troubleshoot electrical drawings.

Assemble, test and troubleshoot control panels.

Ability to relocate to Baltimore, MD OR Harahan, LA if a need arises in the future.

Experience with field commissioning at customer locations.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans

Salary Range $73,500 to $156,200.
