Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant in the Augusta area. This role involves working closely with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.

Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure financial accuracy.

Review financial documents for compliance and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Maintain and reconcile fixed assets, recording additions and disposals appropriately.

Support external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries.

Analyze fiscal data to track financial performance and provide actionable insights.

Collaborate with the Controller and team members to enhance internal processes and implement cost-effective improvements.

Execute special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller, ensuring timely completion.

Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex datasets.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members across departments.

Experience with Sage and/or Access software is a plus.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
