About the Human Resources Generalist Role

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations, acting as a key partner to management and employees. This position ensures compliance, enhances employee experience, and supports payroll, HRIS, and performance management processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Maintain and manage HRIS systems, including data integrity, reporting, and system updates.

Support performance management processes including reviews, coaching, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and onboarding.

Provide employee relations support and guidance to managers and staff.

Maintain employee records and ensure audit readiness.

Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.

Assist with HR reporting and analytics to support business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

2-5 years of HR Generalist experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with payroll processing, HRIS systems, and performance management.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Well - organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines.

Ability to work well independently and in groups.

Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Programs; Excel and Word.

Fluent in English; bilingual a plus

Ability to lift 10-20 lbs., stand for extended periods.

Preferred

Experience in banking related field

Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR).

Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional Certification (SHRM-CP).

Schedule

Full-time position:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; flexibility for evenings/weekends as required.
