Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role combines hands-on warehouse work with delivery and basic installation of temporary heating and cooling units for a variety of commercial clients. You will help maintain an organized warehouse, prepare and load equipment, deliver units to customer sites, and assist with cleaning and installing units while providing clear and courteous communication to clients.
Responsibilities
Work in the warehouse to support daily operations, including organizing, staging, and preparing equipment for delivery.
Deliver temporary heating and cooling units to client locations using company vehicles.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during deliveries and onsite visits.
Install temporary heating and cooling units at customer sites following provided instructions and safety guidelines.
Clean and maintain heating and cooling units before and after rental periods to ensure they are ready for use.
Load and unload equipment safely using appropriate tools and techniques.
Assist with general warehouse upkeep, including cleaning work areas and maintaining an orderly environment.
Use pallet jacks and, once trained, sit-down forklifts to move and position equipment within the warehouse.
Handle basic hand and power tools to support installation, maintenance, and equipment preparation.
Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment, driving, and working in the warehouse and at client sites.
Essential Skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
Willingness to learn how to operate a pallet jack and sit-down forklift.
Basic ability to use hand tools and power tools for cleaning, installation, and equipment handling.
General warehouse skills, including loading, order picking, and organizing inventory.
Comfort with driving and assisting with deliveries, including working with trucks and liftgates.
Ability to perform general labor tasks in a physically active role.
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients during deliveries and installations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a warehouse worker or in general labor is helpful.
Familiarity with pallet jacks and forklifts is an advantage, even if further training is required.
Experience using power tools in a work environment is beneficial.
Comfort working with loading and unloading equipment from trucks using liftgates.
Attention to detail when cleaning and preparing units for client use.
Reliability and punctuality for a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

Work Environment
You work in a small warehouse team of about four people, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The facility is temperature controlled, but conditions can still feel warm in the summer and cool in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The role involves frequent movement, lifting, loading, and using equipment such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, hand tools, and power tools. You also spend time on the road delivering and installing temporary heating and cooling units at client sites such as airplane facilities, IT offices, grocery stores, and specialty shops. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Landover, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
