Digital IT Lab Manager

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Digital IT Lab Manager to join our team in Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position.

As a core member, you will lead in research & designing, engineering, integrating, testing, logistics, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Army programs and projects related to DEVCOM C5ISR technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter's effectiveness. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity; oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions.

Install, support and/or maintain LANs and/or WANs; evaluate and recommend networking products and software upgrades; perform technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.

Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission; identify, diagnose and resolve technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software.

Provide comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, and systems within own and related areas.

Develop advanced specialized expertise within an analytical or technical area to perform the most complex work.

Collaborate with a talented team to implement innovative network solutions; possess tact and diplomacy to communicate ideas in a concise and logical way.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline is required; an additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree (15+ total).

10+ years of experience in systems administration, systems engineering, or related technical roles.

Strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

Extensive experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Understanding of hybrid or on-prem/cloud integrated environments; strong problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.

Department of Defense (DoD) IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent. Candidates without this credential must obtain it within 60 days of their start date.

Familiarity with industry-standard encryption algorithms, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA), and best practices for secure key generation, distribution, and storage.

Strong understanding of network protocols and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+.

Experience with network monitoring tools to keep a pulse on performance; knowledge of wireless networking to support modern connectivity needs; excellent communication and teamwork abilities to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Experience in hybrid or on-prem/cloud integrated environments; strong problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.

Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure across the full SDLC, including Development, Testing, Acceptance, and Production (DTAP) environments.

Experience configuring and supporting Non-Production (NSYS) systems and implementing automated Deployment Gates (DTAG) to ensure stable releases.

Clearance Requirements:

Must have current/active TS/SCI Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.

Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

Must be able to work in high noise areas.

Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.

Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and @type on a computer keyboard.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
